JOIE DE VIVRE is an 24" x 30" X .75" original oil painting on stretched canvas.
It depicts a scene on Georgian Bay, part of the Great Lakes.

Eastern Georgian Bay is part of the southern edge of the Canadian Shield.
It forms a geological formation carved out by the retreating glaciers at the end of the last Ice age, about 11,000 years ago.
The granite rock formations and windswept Eastern White Pine are characteristic of the islands and much of the shoreline of the bay.
The beauty of the area has inspired landscapes by artists of the Group of Seven.

The sides are painted blue.
It is signed and titled on the back.
Y. Wagner is etched in the wet paint on the front right corner of the canvas.
The back is signed with the title.
